AbleLinks Adult Education
What Is AbleLinks?
AbleLinks is Yooralla's Adult Education program. It provides a range of accredited and pre accredited courses designed to assist people with disability to gain pre-vocational skills and knowledge.
Our training can provide pathways into further study or employment opportunities.

What Courses Do We Offer?
Our accredited courses include:
- Certificate 1 in Transition Education
- Certificate 1 in Work Education
- Certificate 1 in Initial General Education for Adults
- Certificate 1 (Introductory) General Education for Adults
All modules are tailored to individual needs. Students can either work towards accreditation or simply complete individual modules, as they choose.

- Practical Office Skills
- Certificate 1 + 11 in Business
- Employment Preparation
- Career Planning
- Literacy
- Information Technology/computers
- Food Preparation/Certificate 1 Food Safety
- Multimedia
Special Interest Classes
- Art and Craft
- Drama classes
Students who are interested in food handling or catering can enroll in an on-line Certificate 1 Food Safety course. AbleLinks provides support for this training.
How Are The Courses Run?
All classes are run in small group settings. Course content is designed to ensure an exciting and worthwhile program is delivered in a supportive and stimulating environment.
On enrolment, every student has an interview where special needs or access requirements are identified and discussed.
We are conveniently located in the city opposite Flinders Street Station. We also run a range of outreach courses at Yooralla facilities across Melbourne and Gippsland. These are in Box Hill, Ferntree Gully, Pascoe Vale, St Albans, Noble Park, Cranbourne, Leongatha and Drouin.
Who Is Eligible?
Anyone can enroll in our courses.
If you are between 19 and 24 years of age you may be eligible for a Government funded position. Please ask about this when you are making an enquiry.
Fees
Fees are charged. If you are taking up a Government funded position you will need to pay an amenity fee. If you are on FFYA or ISP you will be asked to pay a fee.
If you enroll in an approved course and you are on a Disability Support Pension then you may be eligible to apply to Centre Link for fee support.
