Respite Services
CAL you can Respite Programs provide carers of people with disability with opportunities to take a break from their support role. This can be as a planned experience or in an emergency.
At the same time, it provides a range of opportunities for the person with disability including centre-based activities, planned outings and events.
Respite stays may range from a few hours through to an extended period.
CAL you can respite facilities provide:
- a home like environment in a purpose built fully accessible house with 3 bedrooms and well appointed amenities. Spacious living and outdoor areas for recreational use.
- fully trained staff who can meet individual needs
- a place in which to meet and socialise with other people
- an enjoyable experience for the person with disability
- can be arranged on an individual basis
- can be set up in a responsive manner
- provide staff who are fully trained to meet individual needs
- can be short or long term stays
- are on a Fee for Service basis
